Hide and Seek

You search for him in between pages of Jane Austen novels.

You search for him in the leads of romantic comedies.

You search for him in the lyrical depths of a hopeful songwriter.

You search for him and you found the wrong ones.

You search for him and you thought he was the right one.

You search for him and all the faces got blurry.

You search for him and you eventually grew weary.

You search for him until you found yourself again.

You search for him until you finally stopped trying.

You find him in a goofy guy who dances like a drunken sailor to 80s music.

You find him in a singer wannabe whose vocal range tears your eardrum apart.

You find him in a movie geek who grew up to American movies just like you.

You find him in a survivalist fan who declares his undying love for Ed Stafford.

You find him in a sports buff who introduces you to the world of football and muay thai.

You find him in his inner child who playfully punches you everytime you play the “okay” game.

You find him in a fellow foodie who shares your love for snacks and introduces you to foreign palettes.

You find him in a passionate man who can go for days babbling about topics he finds interesting.

You find him in an optimist who hates confrontations, but would willingly do it to fix issues with you.

You find him in a patient partner who has a weakness for your tears and is a better communicator than you.

You find him in a gentle giant who is willing to sacrifice all his comforts just to see you happy.

You find him in a lover who is not big with words, but whose sweet actions speak louder than any word ever could.

You find him within yourself when the words won’t stop flowing.

You find him within yourself when the emotions won’t stop pouring.

You find him within yourself when you stare into his deep blue eyes, drowning.

You find him within yourself when his very presence is your unraveling.

You find him…

Despite all odds

Despite all costs

Despite all losses

You found him.
